When Gunde passed, Nick had some contact with LandC Forums - and nothing worked out. If someone knows someone there, maybe that could help.

I think running a forum as an administrator for over 20 years is a tremendous achievement, requiring a commitment that is almost daily. Everyone ought to understand that, after such a long time, one might simply run out of steam. After all, the responsibility entails looking at?or at least briefly checking?almost every post and image; there are guidelines and even laws that must be observed.

I wrote a few stories myself and always received a positive response, but my calls for others to write something of their own fell on deaf ears. These AI-generated stories bore me; I don't even read them anymore.

Is the forum superfluous? The world won't end... but that applies to all forums of this kind. Still, it was nice to be part of the community here...
I don't think anyone will step up to take over the responsibility. I want to thank the administrator for your dedication; you?ve brought something positive to many people... that?s something to be proud of! I wish you all the best for your future.

I'm interested. It's a shame such a big archive to be lost. But unfortunately the layout of the forum seems to be archaic and frozen in time and not mobile friendly. I knew it would shut down sooner or later.

By the way gunde was tragmich from landcforum? I read a thread about his passing, and I remember he was Finnish.

Running a Website for about 20 years is impressive. I was running a forum for just 5 years so I know what it takes. 20 years here, and I visiting this website for almost as long, finally becoming a member 10 years ago.

I would like to continue, hosting the site, but sadly I'm so tangled up in work and my personal life, I don't have the time to do it. But I hope that others will be able to continue.

Again: Thank you for your good work, it won't be forgotten.

If anyone is able to keep the site open, I'm willing to contribute to the costs... but not 300/year... just a portion... if I have to contribute alone, I can't do it. Neither financially nor with my skills. I'm not capable of managing a forum.

Before this website closes, may I ask one special request? Would it be possible for me to receive a bonus membership, at least until the site closes?

I've been visiting this website for about 20 years, so it has a very special place in my heart. Over the years, I've contributed to the community by posting pictures, providing links to videos, and by sharing my experiences.. I've asked for a bonus membership in the past but never received one, and I've always wondered why. Regardless, with the website coming to an end, I'd really appreciate the opportunity to experience being a bonus member, even if only for the remaining time.

Yeah sad to see the end of an era but i will always remember the memories made here, change can be hard to deal with but i hope the ones who have made lifelong connection will stay in contact with their rider/ lifter. The admins can finally rest now..
