Dear members,
After running this website for 20 years, it is time for me to retire.
Unless someone is interested in taking over the administration (and costs involved), I will close down this website permanently on Nov 1, 2026.
If anyone is interested in taking over, or if you have any other ideas, please post in this thread or send me a private message.
I would like to thank all members who have contributed over the years.
Regards,
Nick

Check with Axxo from liftandcarrymen.com - I had donated to this site a few months ago and wouldn't mind paying a nominal subscription.

I was just about to write, that this page is useless.... especially when admin created two categories of members...
Stupid rule, which made me to stop sending any pictures or articles. I do it only once in a year, despite the fact I have had much more to send.
I have been member for many many years, but my bonus membership was banned just because I dared to criticise admin, that his picture of war between Russia and Ukraine doesnt belong to this page and has nothing to do with shoulder ride.
At this time - when instagram, youtube, and tiktok are avialable - full of videos and pictures, page like this is not necessary.
Thanks everyone who run this page for so many years, but I think we can go without it.

I think running a forum as an administrator for over 20 years is a tremendous achievement, requiring a commitment that is almost daily. Everyone ought to understand that, after such a long time, one might simply run out of steam. After all, the responsibility entails looking at?or at least briefly checking?almost every post and image; there are guidelines and even laws that must be observed.
I wrote a few stories myself and always received a positive response, but my calls for others to write something of their own fell on deaf ears. These AI-generated stories bore me; I don't even read them anymore.
Is the forum superfluous? The world won't end... but that applies to all forums of this kind. Still, it was nice to be part of the community here...
I don't think anyone will step up to take over the responsibility. I want to thank the administrator for your dedication; you?ve brought something positive to many people... that?s something to be proud of! I wish you all the best for your future.

What kind of costs are we talking about?
I'd rather accept some administrative duties than allow the whole forum to cease to exist.

I'm interested. It's a shame such a big archive to be lost. But unfortunately the layout of the forum seems to be archaic and frozen in time and not mobile friendly. I knew it would shut down sooner or later.
By the way gunde was tragmich from landcforum? I read a thread about his passing, and I remember he was Finnish.
Edit: I cannot send email or message to you. How can I do it?

What about the archives? How will we access them once this is gone?

Thank you so much for everything.
If there's anything we can do, just let us know and we'll find a solution. I take my hat off to you.

Many thanks for your kind words.
Misuolo and Chris: I send a private message to your registered email address.
I'm open for ideas. If anyone else is interested in managing and financing this website, just drop me an email: njetski@hotmail.com
The current cost for this website as it is right now is approximately $300/year.
The archives will still be accessible during 2027 but will likely close down after that, again, unless someone is willing to host it (100 GB storage).
