Light or heavier riders?

I have noticed that it is easier for me to carry heavier girls and women than lighter ones. I recently carried three different girls, in three different occasions. Two of them were light, maybe 50 kilos each. The last one was heavier, maybe 70 kilos. It was far more pleasant and less tiring to carry the last girl. She had perfect balance and I think it was easier for her to. The smallest and shortest of the other girls got an aching leg after 10-15 minutes. This often happens when I carry short and light riders. When I put her down she could hardly stand up. I have never experiences this with a tall and heavy girl. They tend to position themselves more naturally which makes it easier to carry them. One important thing is that with longer legs it is easier for me as a carrier to wrap them around my back and thus create better stability. But if the girls have long legs to wrap around my back but are thin and light it still doesn't create the same stability as it does with a heavier girl. From practical experience the ideal rider for me is a girl or a woman about 1,70-1,75 cm tall weighing around 70-75 kilos. When those conditions are in place and the balance and chemistry is right it is very pleasant trying to endure as long as possible. For me 15 minutes are usually no problem but it is very hard to reach 30 minutes. What are your experiences regarding these issues?

Re: Light or heavier riders?

Back to the original topic... I think my ideal rider can be in the wide range of 100 to 160 pounds: the success of the ride mostly depends on how that weight is distributed on my shoulders and presses on my body.

A rider who sits upright with a good posture will use my bone structure more effectively, obtaining in return a longer ride. I am always happy to bend my neck forward to make them comfortable and support such alignment, even though that's hard for my neck over time. On the other hand, a rider who is nervous and hunches forward will feel like a bag of potatoes and turn a ride into an ordeal.

Clothing is important as well. A rider in jeans will feel like pressing all their weight onto a small area of my shoulders. Any softer fabric, like leggings, will work much better. And a female rider with bare legs is the best option of all.

The longest ride I have ever given was in neighbor of 35 - 40 minutes. My rider was a 120 lbs woman, wearing cotton shorts, riding with a confident posture (and a matter-of-fact dominant attitude!)

Dear members,

Please remember, that this is an adult site. No stuff featuring small children is allowed. Not even stories. The above story is very borderline.

Speaking only from the riders  point of  view, I prefer to ride wearing short  cotton blend shorts. My bare thighs can  hold onto the carrier's neck better  and the  soft  material  gives enough so that my  bottom  sits  more comfortably on his  shoulders.  I have worn  a  bikini  while sitting on a  guy's shoulders while chicken fighting  when I  was a teenager but  it was only for a short  period  of time  as  most of such  events are.
I  wore tight  nylon shorts, similar to  what  bicyclist  wear on my  second  outing  with my  friend   and I  found it  difficult  to grip  my carrier's neck and  my bottom  was somewhat  compressed which was  harder on  my carriers  shoulders and  neck.
I suppose if a woman  wore a skirt and  being exposed   wasn't  a  concern, it would  be  easier on  the  man she was  riding. But  it would be something of a  problem if she had to sit on the  back of the skirt , tucked under her  bottom  on  his shoulders. Obviously a  tight fitting skirt would be rather impractical.
I must assume  that male riders would  be more limited in  their options. My  friend  wore running shorts while riding his carrier  on  our outings and I  didn't  notice him  having any  problem keeping himself seated on  his  carrier.

Re: Light or heavier riders?

Dear Ms Audrey

I'm sure that 80% of the male members  who read Your post have ever since been dreaming that You were riding them  in Your "short cotton blend shorts"! By just closing their eyes, they would feel the light weight of  Your " bottom comfortably sitting on their shoulders", as well as the lovely touch of Your "bare thighs on their necks and cheeks" ...

At least, I do  .............!!

Thanks !

Re: Light or heavier riders?

servusmulierum:  Thank you  for  the  compliment. But  80%  might be an  exaggeration. Some of the  men here  are  riders  and some are  gay  and while I  have  several  close gay male  friends, I  don't think  feeling my  thighs on their necks or faces  would excite them. Unfortunately, I'm  not really that  light either,  though (130 lbs.)(59 K)is obviously less than most men. My ex-husband  was  quite strong and  muscular but found me rather heavy when I  was  sitting on him  during  the  few times I was  carried on his shoulders.
As I  said  before, I believe  that for  the activity to be real  and  enjoyable , for the rider at least,  the rider  should have control and  obedience in  regard to the  carrier.
I  don't think  that cruelty is  required however  and some  consideration for the  carrier should be part of the activity.  As  such, the physical  realities  of the rider must be  considered in regard  to  clothing.  My  bottom is soft,  but if  compressed  in tight fitting clothing  it is  less  soft,  rather like a  soccer ball is softer when not fully inflated.
A  softer  material that  doesn't compress  my bottom would be easier on my carrier's neck and shoulders  when  I'm  sitting on him.
The  gay friend  that  I  rode with  on  his  two  carriers also  happens to  have  a rather pronounced  bottom, at least for  a  man, and his  upper  body isn't especially  muscular  or heavy so I  imagine that  he was  also rather more  comfortable for  his  carrier as well.
I think that wearing something like  tight  denim jeans or  denim  shorts would add  to  the discomfort of the  carrier  while  you  are sitting on him.  That's why  I  felt that the subject of  fashion  was  worthy of interjecting my  views.

Re: Light or heavier riders?

Dear Ms Audrey

Conceptually, I believe that my 80% are close to reality ... I could rephrase it and say instead :  "100% of the straight mounts in this forum". But I think it's about the same. And that number should certainly not  decrease because of Your weight ... However, very sadly, Your ride might  be shortened if Your horse is too weak, or like me, already too old sad ... As for Your ex-husband, maybe he was strong and muscular, but it was very rude of him to utter such disgraceful words regarding Your weight, instead of expressing regrets for his lack of strength and resilience. He was most certainly a boor, and doesn't deserve to feel the lovely weight of Your "bottom comfortably sitting on his shoulders", if I may quote You again!

Now, I'm not sure that Your human horse would really feel any difference between a tight fitting clothing and a softer material for Your shorts ...: If You were riding me while I was on all four, Your bottom would rest on my back, and I could possibly feel this kind of difference. But if You sit on my shoulders , You sit in fact on the back of Your thighs, not that much on Your bottom ... Which I couldn' feel, to my deepest regret  .... But I will find consolation and bliss in the softness of your skin alongside my cheeks ....

If You nicely ban the jeans and stick to short shorts

Re: Light or heavier riders?

servusmulierum:  The sitting on  the  carrier's shoulders is  the  issue  for  me  because I very  much prefer having my bottom  supported  and  not to  have  to  rest my  weight on my thighs.  That is why I prefer to have  my carrier  sort of looking down  and if  possible to have him  hunched slightly  forward so  that my hips are supported. I don't  mind resting on my thighs if it's  a short  ride   but  as  was the  case  when  riding  with my  friend,  my carrier was  always  trying to  stand  more erect and raising his head  and  it  made me uncomfortable as well  as  feeling insecure.  My  ex  was rude of  course but  he did carry  me for  quite a  long distance  before he  really complained  so I must be fair about that. I wondered if a  hunchbacked carrier  would be  more  comfortable to  sit  on but that  might  be rather  cruel  because I imagine that adding weight  to the spine of such a  person would  cause him  more  pain  which is  not the purpose.

Unless an  old man was  exceptionally strong, I wouldn't really want to  sit on his  shoulders.  If  he wanted to  try to carry  me I  might let him  try on  all fours while I  sat on his  back  so he wouldn't fall under me or at least  not very  far. I don't think  pony riding someone  on  all fours would be practical as an outdoor activity. It would be more about  playing  or something  like that.

But whether I'm  on his shoulders  or  his back, I think  that some  regard  for the  carrier  should be involved and my  bottom  should  sit  more  naturally on him and  not be  compressed  into something  harder that would be  harder on him.

Re: Light or heavier riders?

Audrey, perhaps it is true that causing more pain to a carrier "is not the purpose". But I would argue that the rider's comfort should be more important than the carrier's pain.

As a carrier, it is not comfortable for me to lower my head and to hunch my back. But I will do it, if I know that it makes you feel more comfortable and secure astride my shoulders. That's because - as a carrier - I am at your service and I regard your needs as more important than mine. And I will actually (in a way) even enjoy my discomfort, through the awareness that it is providing you with the best possible ride.

With that said, of course I will avoid getting to the point of risking any serious injury. And I will definitely appreciate your thoughtful decision to wear soft non-compressing clothing...

(By the way, 130 lbs is not heavy!)

Re: Light or heavier riders?

brad's shoulders:  Believe me  when I say  that  I'm not  inclined to  sacrifice  my comfort  to my carrier.   I simply believe that I shouldn't specifically cause him  any more discomfort  than is  required to sit  comfortably on him  while being carried. As such,  my  clothing should not cause chaffing in  his  neck or compress my body to  the point that it is  harder  on his neck and shoulders than  my body  would be without  being clothed at all. Hence the  cotton  blend  shorts were obviously easier on  my carrier  and in  spite of  his poor  behavior, The shorts  I  wore the second time which  were  less  soft and compressed  my  bottom  more  were simply a  bad  choice.
I have  no doubt that my  weight partially sitting on  your neck  as you carry  me  would  be something of a  problem and I  appreciate  that your  sacrificing you  comfort for  mine is a  requirement of  your  position. However, I would prefer  that you simply communicate that you need  to rest  rather than  risk  injuring yourself  or adjusting me  to a less comfortable  position.
If on  a  long  outdoor ride,  you allowed yourself to become injured  and couldn't  carry me any  longer,  I  would  be forced to  walk back ,possibly alone to find  medical  assistance for  you.

The other  problem  with  you  looking down  is  that you  would have to  trust  the person  sitting on  you to guide  you to  some degree.   This would require that you  trust me  to keep you on the  path  and warn  you of obstacles  in  our  path.  If you  fell or  bumped into something  we  both might be injured.

Re: Light or heavier riders?

Audrey - the idea of a long outdoor ride is delightful. You can rest assured that my main focus would be on your comfort, enjoyment and safety.

But you are right: I should (and would) not push myself to the point of getting injured. Better to take a break, during which of course I could be your comfortable human chair. The scenario of you being forced to walk is unacceptable, and would be a huge disappointment for both of us.

One of my regular riders used to ride me without wearing any shoes: it was her way to convey my obligation to carry her for the entire time, as well as a demonstration of her trust in my ability to do so. (Besides, I could even massage her feet while carrying her!)

Regarding the posture of my neck, I usually bend it in a way that forces me to look at my own feet. This offers you a comfortable natural saddle, while allowing me to see the ground where I am stepping to avoid any incidents. Of course I won't see beyond a few feet ahead of me, but that actually helps me focus on the moment and avoid the temptation to think too much (just like blinders for a horse)... so that I can just obey your orders, and let you make every decision about where to go, which turns to take, and of course the speed and duration of the ride.

May I ask: does the above sound like a suitable solution to you?

And how would you convey your orders during the ride? Would you talk to me, or give me physical commands using your hands, legs and feet?

Re: Light or heavier riders?

It would be simpler to just talk to  you.   There is  no  reason to pretend  that you're just a dumb animal who  can't understand  verbal  commands. I could carry a  crop but only to  possibly  direct  you with  taps  or  to get your attention  to something  that  might be urgent  to  convey.

As  for  sitting on  you  during rest periods, I suppose the  position  and  where I  might sit would  depend on your condition  and what rest  might be required.  If  your  back  is sore, I understand that pressure on your  back might  feel  good  or it may  not. Being hunched  over  I might assume that  your spine  could relax with  pressure on your  lower  back in the  all fours  position.   The  duration of the rest period might  be a  factor  as well and my  weight  could  negatively effect you  if I just sat down on  your stomach or chest for  more than a few  minutes.
If  I  feel that I  must  sit, your  raised  knees  or  thighs  might serve . In that I will  have been  sitting on  your shoulders  and neck,  there would be  no  more  implied intimacy  in  sitting  anywhere else.
The only requirement is that once  I'm seated, I  can  remain so  without   being asked to  change positions or move to  another location  before  you are  rested enough to  continue.  I  found this  very annoying while riding on  my friends loaned carrier. Needless to  say  that  no unnecessary  touching should  occur  or be allowed.   Your  service should be  as  a beast of  burden   regardless  of any other relationship or assumption. Otherwise I would feel  uncomfortable  in  the matter.

Re: Light or heavier riders?

I love being used as a human chair during breaks, as it keeps me "in the zone" and focused on my commitment to your comfort. My preference is the all-fours position, because I can hold it for a very long time while stretching the two areas involved in shoulder riding: neck and shoulders. Whatever the position you choose, I would definitely hold it for as long as you wish.

And of course I would never take advantage of my position, or do anything to make you feel uncomfortable. My only focus would be on serving you as the best human horse I can be.

I hope we can make it happen one day! You could even loan me to your friend, as you guys take turns on the different mounts at your service...

@ Audrey b,

I may have asked you this before, but how many times have you gotten on someone's shoulders without their permission?

Hi Brad's shoulders I agree with all your mount positions and cloth preferences u stated. You are a great thinker about sitting on shoulders and giving comforts. I would like to ride on your shoulders for long time.
Do u travel?
