For the past year we have been saying how nice it would be to actually meet in person-ride each other.
What do we do about it NOTHING-we are too full of hot air.
How many of us have met another of this group-lets hear from you if you have.
Yes we have lots of excuses
It is too far-The credit crunch-it gets dark to soon-my partner does not like horses and so on.
We are just a lot of windbags. AGREED.
There is another thing-we are a very secretive lot-look at our profiles -there is very little information on most of them-what are we worried about-we all live to far from each other to cause
any damage-thats why we cannot meet.
Let is try and be more open with our profiles.
You never know we might learn something nice about each other.

Hi mastadon99,
I fully understand that you are worried or angry with our current situation.
To be very honest: I don't need any excuses for not paticipating in such a "worldwide meeting of the ultimate shoulderrides group". I like the idea that our group is something where we can hide our identity and keep a certain portion of privacy. If not this group wouldn't be so large.
I think almost a year ago Louie made the same approach and did some very detailed proposals where and when to meet. But it didn't suceed....
When I say I wouldn't be a part of such a "meeting" it does not necessarily mean that I am not an active memeber anymore. My computer hosts about 45 thousand pictures and some 1300 videos of shoulderriding. Everything from the very early beginning in 1998 / 1997 (with the yahoo groups) is stored there. And I did some very interesting posts in the past 10 years. There are files on the internet (e.g. the italian movie with Roberto Benigni and Nicoletta Braschi) that are copies from my original post in 1999 or 2000... amazing !! If we have a server crash one day it can be restored just by sending some DVD's with data on it to somebody who is willing to upload these files.
What I am trying to say is that this group will not dry-out if we don't have such a meeting face-to-face.
Sometimes it is better to accept things rather than trying to change something that cannot be changed ...
with my best regards

Hi xxx123yyy
Yes I agree- that perhaps a world wide meeting would not be practical-it might frighten some of us.You never know what you might meet.
But a meeting of like minded people in the same area of the same country should be possible-what I was trying to say is that there is very little information on our profiles for some one to even consider trying to meet someone else.
Perhaps in this day and age, we are to frightened of the big brother syndrome.
So lets keep to ourselves-spout about things-but in fact do NOTHING.
As the politician says TALK IS CHEAP-actions, well thats another matter.

Sorry boys but I don't get that...I disagree with you.
you write:
Yes I agree- that perhaps a world wide meeting would not be practical-it might frighten some of us.You never know what you might meet.
Why do you think it could frightened for you to meet other people who like also shoulderriding? We all are just ordinary people and I'm sure most of all could be even friends with together. I don't think about hide my identifity, why should I do that? I enjoy shoulderriding so what embarassing is in my fetish? It is part of my identifity, it's not criminal, it's not sex, there is nothing to be ashamed. Why should we deny from us something what we like? Why should we hide part of ourselves? I'm open minded woman, I'm always myself now and in the future.
I understand most difficult is distance and it could be difficult to arrange meeting because of costs and time.

Greetings, shoulder riders and carriers
I do agree with Tina 110%. We all are ordinary people and what's wrong
with us giving shoulder rides or enjoy riding shoulders? I would love to
parade Tina on my shoulders while everybody around us look up and
admire a young lady having a good time.
We should not feel ashamed of ourselves and we must break this silly taboo
of thinking we are weird or perverts.
I hope one day to meet Tina and let her know she is someone special.
carry on,
Dover

What if we are perverts or weird? Being a "pervert" or "weird" is a matter of opinion and nothing more. We are hurting nobody or nothing as we all know such that those who object to our activities should go elsewhere and look elsewhere as we all already know. On the other hand, I respect some members' desires to keep their identities secret so that they can protect their other passions and livelihoods from weird people who object to our activities for no intelligent reason what so ever.
So, some may get together and some may not. That is life.

To perfectly honest-I am getting to the stage where I could not care a monkey's whatssit what people think.
We should be allowed to do what we like, when we and how we like-always of course within the bounds of acceptable behavior and this is where the problem arises.
Some misguided people have very strange ideas of what is acceptable-if I was to say, they think that black is black and white is white and cannot have different shades in between-all hell would be let loose-a racist statemant has been made-send the perpetrator to somewhere indescribable and loose him or her.
How stipid are we getting.

Well I'm returning to the UK for a few weeks later this week and have no objections to meeting up with members, especially if they know of some girls who would fancy a shoulder ride ![]()
Must admit I've never considered myself in terms of 'horse' or 'ponyboy' and when I hear women referring to the guy as 'pony', I tend to mute the sound. I dont swim so have missed out on a great area of opportunity there. Most of the shoulder rides I have given have tended to be at festivals/concerts. One benefit of that (in my eyes anyway) is that in most cases the girl has been a complete stranger to me.
