He walked on two legs and with his back horizontal, dangerous in my opinion but it was his style.

Correct. Shoulder riding with a straight spine seems safer than carrying someone with a bent back while standing on 2 legs.

Danny's act came out of the fetish clubs and into the mainstream. Women who never would have engaged in fetish play were willing to try a pony ride at a disco. He loved his "work" and was great at talking "vanilla" women into giving it a try. Part of his gig was him pretending he was a real horse.
