Ultimate shoulder rides

I would like to add my thanks to Louies best wishes - you have been doing some great work in here of late and it has mostly gone unnoticed so far. You have found stacks of great pool shoulder rides, chicken fights and 3/4 highs that have obviously mostly come from Myspace/Photobucket sites that are otherwise not viewable by the public at large - I say this because I have not seen most of them anywhere in my searches.

You are right about photobucket - it acts as a feeder photo site for Facebook & MySpace and there is 6.5 billion photos in there so far and counting. About 1/100 (or 1%) of them are in the public searchable database. And even what is shown in their own small search engine exceeds Webshots & Flickr by a long way. Imagine that multipied by 100 times. If all their pictures were public and searchable there would be thousands of new pictures every week. You are still finding so many shoulder rides even in only a fraction of the number of people who use these sites now. And it is mostly the teenagers and college kids who use MySpace and Facebook who post the shoulder ride/chicken fight/pool party pictures. There would be millions of these posted already that we will never get to see. The younger crowd used to use Webshots quite a lot until these new sites came along - now the number of young people using Webshots has declined to almost nothing from it's peak 2/3 years ago. Webshots haven't helped their own case by totally changing the site either, whilst I see they now do not allow people to right click and save any photo posted in there unless the person names you as a friend. It spells the death knell for that site. It will decline to the point of having to shut down due to lack of business - it is only a matter of time. Sad, as it was once a great site!! And it is easy to circumvent the no right click restriction, as anyone with a bit of URL source code knowledge will know.
Flickr has on the other hand grown a bit, but it is more for older people and again, most people in there use the option to make their photos either private or available to friends only, or at the very least, exercise the no right click option. Privacy has now become the norm on most "photo sharing" websites, and it means we will find less and less shoulder ride pictures as time goes on unfortunately. It is a shame because it was just fantastic only a few short years ago. Most of my picture finds this year have been on peoples blogs and through Googles own search engine. Thank god for Google!! And also Youtube is still mostly public movies which means there is lots and lots in there.
