Skill and pleasure

Since most of you guys are guys, this is addressed mainly to you.  How many of you have been cheerleaders in college?  How many have had girlfriends who were cheerleaders and were definitely into shoulder riding?  The thing is that cheerleader partners learn how to do secure mounts in several ways, and how to maintain the ride without worrying about spills.  Some of the video clips we've seen show girls who look terrified riding someone's shoulders.  That tends to distract the rider from the fun she might be having. On the other hand, most of the gorgeous girls in

look like experienced riders.  Look how they're riding tall with their legs gripping their mounts' sides, their feet high behind their mounts' backs.  OK, it's only  chicken fight.  But when a girl rides you without screaming in fright, and hugs your upper body between her legs, and centers her weight up against the back of your neck, you're giving her a real treat, and if you like being ridden it will be a treat for you too.

It's cold and wet in London but even now, during the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace every other day, there are often girls with cameras (including me on occasion) riding their boyfriends to take pictures.  It's easy to tell which ones are concentrating on photography and which ones are getting a blast out of the ride.  Cameras aside, if you see a guy with his head tilted forward, turning and ducking and weaving with his rider firmly astride him, that rider is very lucky, because she's getting an especially stimulating ride.  Male cheerleaders who are into shoulder rides know all about this.  I've known several who became cheerleaders precisely because it was a good opportunity to get some good-looking, skilled riders astride their necks with bare thighs.

If I might offer a suggestion, guys, teach your girlfriends and wives to ride you securely and see if they don't discover a world of pleasure in the process.  They could just possibly discover that they want to ride you all day and all night.

...and please let us know about your riding progress too!

Re: Skill and pleasure

Liz,

Great to hear from you and interesting comments about cheerleading. Attending sporting events, I often found my attention diverted by the sight of one cheerleader on another's shoulders. I knew several girl's who were into cheerleading, but I was too shy to ask about this aspect since I did not know how it would be received.

I have had numerous girls on my shoulders in my younger days. My enjoyment was always enhanced when my rider seemed to be into it as much as I was. There is nothing that can ruin the experience more than someone terrified of being up there and their only thoughts are about getting down.

A close second to giving a tall, long legged woman a shoulder ride is to observe a female on the shoulders of another female. Most of your experience seems to be riding guys. Forgive me for asking, but have you had the pleasure of riding another girl, particularly one shorter than you.

Happy riding,

Lindy

I'm sorry the link didn't work.  Perhaps I didn't copy it correctly.  It was posted by Driggers on 2007-01-11 22:46:13.  You can find in on Page 2 of this part of the forum.  I'll upload it to the archive.  It's well worth a look. It's a superb example of really good riding.

Yes, I've ridden other girls and enjoyed it a lot.  We had some male cheerleaders in high school but I also rode most of the girls; I was a flyer because of my light weight. Some girls and also mature women really like to be mounted and know how to give their riders a very good time.  I recall one particularly exciting time playing beach volleyball with each team made up of horses and riders.  For a long time my horse was a really strong female gym instructor, and riding her shoulders was fabulous.

Wow, imagine the view of seeing those young girls in shoulder sits playing against each other beach volleyball! Can you tell us more, Liz? Where did you have that game, how long did it run and did you have spectators?

Regards,

Louie

Re: Skill and pleasure

Dear Louie,

Thanks for your interest.  The beach volleyball was at a resort in Florida, around the time of Spring Break.  The sand was soft, and falls were no big deal, so we kept it up for close to half an hour.  There were only four couples on each team, and there were some people nearby watching, and occasionally helping out by picking up a ball if it ended on the sand and tossing it to one of the riders.

Actually I like playing riding volleyball in a reasonably big pool even more.  I've done that several times in private pools, but except in one case the only rider was me.  My job was to ride close to the net and slam the ball down when it was passed to me by a teammate.  The exception was one game in which the other team felt that we had an advantage (I think they were right) and a girl on the opposite side of the net mounted her boyfriend's shoulders so she could do what I was doing.  She was a cheerleader too, and had good riding form, but her mount wasn't as stable as my boyfriend at the time, and they fell far more often than we did, when she reached for a ball that she really should have let her teammates handle, and threw their balance off.  Of course, in the water that's harmless if you're not near the edge of the pool.  It's terrific fun and I highly recommend it!

Re: Skill and pleasure

Liz,

Thanks for your wonderful posts on shoulder riding. It's always great to hear a woman's perspective on shoulder riding, carrying and being carried.

I hope you don't mind my asking, but you mentioned that when you were a cheerleader, you were the mount on shoulder sits by other female cheerleaders since you were smaller than others on the squad. Could I ask your height and weight and the approximate heights and weights of the other female cheerleaders who did shoulder sits with you?

Thanks!

Re: Skill and pleasure

Dear JB,

I think most high school cheerleading squads are all-girl, and in college there are male cheerleaders as well.  My good luck in both cases has been my size (5"1', 105 lb), plus my strength and good sense of balance.  I think I was even lighter in high school; the numbers I've quoted are my current height and weight.  It's usually the smallest girls you see at the top of the human pyramids, and my shoulder rides in high school were usually, but not always, astride girls who were heavier than I.  You'd be surprised how strong high school gymnasts can be, and very often I got unscheduled rides from girls no bigger than I was, who enjoyed showing off their strength and liked to feel a rider on their shoulders.  There's one critical element that makes a big difference.  If the rider's weight is centered right over her partner's spine, she's MUCH easier to carry because although muscles are involved in the mounts and dismounts, carrying a rider becomes mainly a matter of posture and position.  A hint: look for those riders whose legs are wrapped firmly around their partners' upper bodies, and whose feet are hooked securely behind their backs, and especially the riders who are sitting tall with good posture, with their weight centered astride the backs of their partner's necks, not just sitting with the backs of their thighs on their partners' shoulders.  Those are the ones who are easiest to carry, and also the ones who are in the best position to really enjoy the ride. smile

Re: Skill and pleasure

Hi Liz,

Thank you very much for the reply. I wish I had gone to your high school. I would have loved to have seen all those shoulder rides! Did you ever give any shoulder rides to the other cheerleaders or have you only been interested in being the rider?

To me, there are few things hotter than seeing a female sitting on another female's shoulders.

Thanks again for the reply.

Re: Skill and pleasure

To JB and Peter,

It's always nice to correspond with people who share my love of riding, from just about any perspective.  To begin with, I've always been a rider, but never had any interest in being a lifter.  I'm not sure who my smallest mount was.  Certainly I rode a few other female cheerleaders in high school who were even more petite than I was (I guess about 5 feet flat during most of my high school career; I'm 5'1" now), but I think my smallest horses were other teens at pool parties who watched me ride and wanted to get into the act, smaller and, in some cases younger, teens of both sexes who wanted  to feel what it was like to have me ride them and were in no danger because we were in the water.  I'm pretty sure that some of them were feeling a girl astride their shoulders for the first time, and I like to think they loved every minute of it.  I know I did. smile
