Thinking Fondly of an Old Friend

Hello everyone! I've spent many years lurking this site and have posted pretty scarcely. Recently, though, I've come to really value this community and the sense of camaraderie it offers, so I'd like to try to contribute more by way of discussion.  Since I'm in a reflective mood tonight, I'm willing to share a little of the activity that took place between myself and a good friend of mine in college. We'll call him Blanc.

Blanc and I were the same age and had been friends since high school. He was lighter yet more muscular than I was due to habitual exercise, around 160 lbs.; I must have been somewhere between 170 and 180.  Neither of us are/were gay, but we both enjoyed shoulder-riding, and we were always attempting new "stunts" that involved me sitting on his shoulders.

Blanc and I had learned early on in our friendship that we each shared a passion for this hobby.  In high school we were spent a lot of time at his house in his well-decorated room.  I recall pointing out a decal that he had affixed to his ceiling, and, fishing for any opportunity to get a shoulder ride, I half-jokingly requested that he boost me up to see the picture.  Blanc enthusiastically agreed, far faster than any friend I'd ever suggested that to.  Soon enough I was climbing onto his shoulders from the bed, pretending to look at a ceiling decal.  Even after I was done, Blanc walked me around the house on his shoulders, appreciative of the workout he was getting.  Naturally I suggested we continue, and so we did.  For many years.

Most of our meet-ups over the course of our friendship took the form of me spending the night at his (his parents') house.  It was a nice home on a large piece of land in the middle of a wooded neighborhood, so after everyone else had gone to bed, Blanc and I would quietly go into the woods beside his house and invent our stunts. Among my favorites were:

Augmented exercises, in which Blanc would lift me on his shoulders and attempt lunges, squats, and toe raises. These only made him stronger.

Endurance challenges, in which he would be "forced" to carry me until he was really shaking. In one version of this, Blanc had to stand completely stationary, and his record was around twenty minutes.  In another version, he had to carry me around the perimeter of his house, and his record was two and a quarter laps.

Balance and stength tests, in which Blanc and I would play a game of leap-frog, jumping from a standing position onto the other's shoulders, only to be immediately lowered and immediately jumped on again.

We even spent some time role-playing. Blanc would wear a blanket over himself and behave very beast-like.  I, the trainer, was responsible for taking this wild animal and "breaking him" like a handler breaks a horse. This of course involved pouncing on the animal and climbing my way up to his shoulders while he tried to throw me off.

I'm sorry if I've rambled longer than I should have, but like I said, I've been reflecting on Blanc lately. I realize that I was very lucky to have a like-minded friend who could serve as an outlet for this desire, and I often wish that I could recreate that sort of playful, nonjudgmental environment again with someone else.

Please let me know if you have any questions or would like some more details! I check into this site most days so I'll be available. I hope these stories were enjoyable!

Re: Thinking Fondly of an Old Friend

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Unfortunately we've drifted apart. He lives in my city and we've occasionally tried to reconnect, but it's a bit harder now that our lives our so different. Even if we did become close again, it's unlikely that our past activities would continue, as we both have significant others now. For me personally, shoulder-riding on the side would feel akin to cheating on my ladyfriend, even though I know the act in itself is not sexual. I think the fact that I would feel secretive about such a meet-up is what gives me pause. She knows by this point that riding is a turn-on for me, so it would be difficult to explain the sort of relationship Blanc and I have truthfully. I'm content to think of Blanc's rides as a good memory and for my current shoulder-riding outlet to exist in this website and my bedroom.
