Hi I am new to this site and I just wanted to share my first shoulder ride. I was with a family friend at their house and she said that she liked to be carried. At this time I was 15 and about 125 pounds and she was 17 and 180 pounds. I decided to ask her if I could carry her as she said her boyfriend couldn't. She said that I wouldn't be able to and that I would hurt myself. After asking multiple times more she let me. I tried to pick her up of the floor and I wasn't able to move her. So I sat on a chair and she sat on my shoulders. To my surprise I was able to lift and carry her for about 2 minutes. This was a really good experience and now I carry her quite regularly

Hi,Hrider,I add my welcome as well! Its a good idea to sit on a chair and get your rider to climb on behind you,and better still to find a table or bench so that your rider can get on AT SHOULDER HEIGHT. This is the only way I can carry my riders,by getting them to stand on something off the ground.Thats the trouble with being so light a weight!
Good luck with your riding!

Good one for the first time.

125 lb is 56 Kilos and that is absolutely not heavy for a girl or a lady.
Anyway it was a good start but I think you made a mistake not getting her up.
Perhaps you try again.
