Ultimate shoulder rides

On my way home from work I regularly drive past a large city park, about 5 or 6 football fields in length. It's mostly used by kids playing sports and dog walkers, but plenty of times people are just walking around. During the warm spring and summer months I glance at it and think wouldn't it be funny if I witnessed a shoulder ride there one day--what are the odds?

It happened last week! I came within sight of the park and I clearly saw a guy being carried, parallel to the road and maybe 10 yards from the curb. As I drove my car closer along the road I managed to make out more specific details. The guy was wearing a tank top, shorts, and his bare feet were tucked comfortably behind the rider's back. That's when I was close enough to the rider to gasp--the curvy body, nature of the stride, smooth legs and thigh-high shorts meant this was a girl carrying him.

Hard to tell their ages as they were wearing sunglasses but as I got close enough to see their faces in profile I estimated them to be older teens, maybe 17-19 years old. He was taller and around 150-160 pounds I'd say, she was athletic and stocky and was not seeming to have any trouble at all with his weight on her shoulders. Her steps were slow but controlled and they were both smiling and seemed confident. Keep it mind I can't get into much more detail than this as I was driving a car at the time (luckily the traffic was a bit slow so I could glance over frequently, haha!) Because of the road's design I couldn't pull over (that would have raised the pair's suspicions anyway!), and had I had no time to head for the parking area and take a walk around through the park myself. But I continued down the road amazed, glancing back in my rearview mirror every few seconds. Eventually (maybe 10 seconds later) I drove past the park and the sight faded from view, but I when I glanced back for the last time she was still carrying him. I'd like to think they had made it all the way across the park, and who knows maybe that was even his challenge to her, or her idea to show him how strong she was. She would have taken him for hundreds of meters/yards though!

A perfect, fleeting scene, over too quickly, but here's one more thing I haven't mentioned yet. Two of their friends were walking beside her as she was carrying him, and one of them appeared to be aiming a phone at them. So who knows... maybe it will end up on YouTube.
