Hi-are you worried about the age iof your ponies-I was in Hyde Park yesterday.

I'll resist the temptation to say that old ponies usually spend their retirement days in a pony sanctuary out in the countryside.. oops! I just said it! Where's the delete button? Help!

Talking about age, an old guy was asked whether it was true that he was still having s*e*x at 74. He replied 'Of course!' He was then asked how he managed to do that at his age. 'It's no problem,' he said, 'I live next door at No. 75.'

by your own admission-age is no barrier, all things are possible

Hi mastadon,
I´m soon 60. Not so old yet, and a very good pony. I think I want to continiu with this to 81 (and longer!) if possibly. My questian is, what are you able to carry? And for how long time? I really like to carry long distances!!
Offline
I still do a lot of walking-just Spent a week in the Lake District ,walking,so fairly fit,to be honest with you,I could manage 130lbs for about 15 min-the fairer sex of course
Offline
Thats really OK. If I can handle that weight for 15 minutes when 81, I be happy. Should then carry 80kg for at least 5 minutes
You maybe bigger then me!? I´m 79kg for the moment.

A little, 91kg and 5ft 10in. Still keep up the good work.

You're a credit and an inspiration, mastadon777. Still going strong at 81. I hope you get some female riders soon.

Thankyou checkmate guy -live in hopes

I hope IM still carrying at the age of 81! I recently returned from Hong Kong, where I met two members of the Forum, one weighing 71 kg,and the other nearer 80kg,and I had no trouble carrying either of them. So,up the over 50s.I say!

hi ali, its really good you are able to take those weights.. how long did u carry each?

About three and a half minutes for the lighter chap(I could have gone on for longer, though). The heavier chap prefered shoulder sitting, and I have supported him for 5 minutes at a time. When my shoulders get tired,I just put my rider down, then rest for a minute or so,then I am ready again.I can do this for ages.So although I cant carry anybody for a continuous period for long,I think a number of shorter rides over a long period satisfies most riders.

Give this pony (ali2121) a well deserved carrot!

How about it,then? If Mastadon and I can both make it together,we could have a threesome!A choice of TWO ponies is a rare thing indeed!

This is injustice! One person gets not one but TWO ponies, while the rest of us have nothing!

Caught up with Ali at the weekend and we had a lot of fun- He's a very willing pony and well strong enough for my 70kg - we enjoyed both shoulder riding and on all 4s- i also gave him a ride for the experience, which I think he enjoyed - but he's really a very good pony!

Glad to see people meeting. Ali sounds like a great pony.

Spotted today: a shoulder-riding couple (female sat astride a guy's shoulders) on the cover of a UK magazine called 'Franchising.' The particular franchise being advertised was a health and fitness one.
