Went to concert last night and ended up with random guy up on my shoulders , he sat there for about 10 mins , little over 2 songs , Im guessing he was around 170 # range

Good for you,Ridecarry, but its usually women on men that I see at concerts.I would certainly be far too shy to ask a random person if they wanted a ride-unless they were shorter than myself,of course!

He asked me if it would be ok to sit on my shoulders for a few mins and of course I said sure . He was enjoying his view of the show and afterwards he thanked me .No idea why he approached me out of all the people there . i seen a few more guys giving their buddys shoulder rides there later that night as well

The usual thing is for carriers to take a friend or partner (who are mostly females riders) so that they can enjoy the music and themselves by indulging in some public shoulder-riding in an acceptable venue.

It's an odd fact but some people seem to have an inborn instinct about identifying and therefore asking particular people whether they will give them a shoulder ride. Nine times out of ten they can correctly identify a would-be pony or rider.
