How often do members of this Community have a ride on the shoulders of someone or carry someone on their shoulders? Since joining The Ultimate Shoulder Ride Community on the 1st January 2012, I have had many rides on another member's shoulders. We met up on a regular basis throughout 2012 and we've continued doing so all this year so far. Amazingly, I haven't wore out my faithful pony-guy despite the fact that I weigh more than he does. He's an extremely willing pony who never complains. When we do meet, he gives me several rides which I always enjoy. It's just like being a kid again and discovering a new thrill!
The question then is how many other members have met up for rides or to carry as often and as regularly as we have? As a result of my regular shoulder-riding, I can now slip very easily onto the shoulders of my pony-guy and ride him around while keeping a perfect balance. The first time I tried it in early January 2012 (after not having a shoulder-ride for many years), it felt very strange (and rather dangerous!) sitting astride someone's shoulders and having a ride. A few weeks later I did fall off twice in one day! Because I was riding my pony in the forest, the thick covering of leaves meant that I had a 'soft landing.'
My pony-guy lives about 100 miles from me but we nonetheless manage to meet on a regular basis. Do other members of the Community travel to meet their shoulder-riding partners and if so how far are they willing to travel? From reading the posts on this forum, I know that some members do travel long distances but usually it's for one-off meetings. I live in the south of England, between the town of Bournemouth and the city of Southampton, but as far as I know there are no pony-guys or girls in this area. So, is it time to put shoulder-riding on the curriculum of schools and make it compulsory too? Personally, I think it's more fun than most sports - and you don't need any expensive equipment to do it!

6-10 weekends every year since 2008. Have to travel by plane to reach my riders. All of them except one, is heavier then me. Had carried them during this meetings, over 200 km, without any droping!! One of my longriders is waiting for me. Frenk is a perfect ballanced rider. A dream to carry! And a few kg heavier then me. Ralph in München is nearly 100kg, so not so long rides, but like to make hillclimb with him. To other ponys here, I can recomendate it!! Its lovely feelings to carry a heavy guy uphill a steep road. My third longrider is sadley dead
And I have a light rider too. 63kg. Nice to give loooong rides. Sadley is 2 years ago since he ride me, but stil in contact.

I have a few lady friends that enjoy being carried and depending on the timing of when they visit me, I might get a few rides in one week and then nothing for a few weeks. I guess if I was to average it out, I carry women a couple times a month.

In a UK newspaper today (or yesterday if you're reading this on Sunday), it was reported that there is a small privately owned island off the coast of Essex where the rich and famous (mainly from London) regularly hold parties. One activity that takes place, according to the newspaper (The Mail on Saturday) is 'shoulder-riding' (this is the way the newspaper prefers to spell this term, i.e. with a hyphen linking the words 'shoulder' and 'ride' that is the way I always write the words too). Amongst the rich and famous who go to these parties are, as you'd expect, super-models. According to the newspaper, two of these glamorous super models were seen having rides on the shoulders of various guys, albeit the guys were in a 'drunken state.' Do you need to be drunk before you're prepared to give a glamorous super model a shoulder-ride? I don't think so! I guess that for many pony-guys who are members of this Community, the chance to give a super model a shoulder-ride and have one of these long-legged beauties sat astride their shoulders would be a dream come true. Accompanying the article is a photo of one of the super models sat astride the shoulders of a (lucky) guy. She's sat there with her legs hanging down loose (her crotch pressed tightly up to the back of his neck) either side of his body and she's wearing very tight leggings on which is printed the US flag, one leg shows the stars while the other the stripes. What a girl! Yum, yum! My tongue's been hanging out ever since I saw the picture!
... by the way, the names of the supermodels are Lady Mary Charteris and Poppy Delevingne and it's the latter female who's pictured (page 46, Daily Mail, Saturday September 7, 2013) sat astride the shoulders of a guy. The island is called: Osea Island.

I carry only women. Doesn't matter their height or weight. Unfortunalelly I don't have the chance to be ridden, mostly because I'm a tall guy and women are afraid to ride on my shoulders.

Wow!! That sounds like an amazingly good time. Thanks for the info checkmateguy. I tried to locate the article to see the photo but was unsuccessful. Maybe I'm incompetent, but is there anyway you might have the photo and can add it to the photos gallery? If not... no worries.

Thank you, Checkmate and Kris.
I wonder, if Poppy Delevingne is welcomned to these parties any more? After all, it was she who blew the whistle by posting those pics on her Instagram. Would not be surprised, if the celebs have found a new place already.

...maybe the ponies in this group would be welcomed at these parties for the celebs to ride? What a thought!
