New rule: no link to copyrighted videos

Dear members,

We have added a new rule:
No link to copyrighted video (exception: official excerpt for preview purpose)

This means of course that it is prohibited to link to complete shoulder riding videos on e.g. YouTube that are for sale on the video publisher's website, or to upload any of these to the video section. We apply this new rule to support those who invest in high quality shoulder riding videos. It is still, however, allowed to link to any of the official preview clips that are available.

Ciao Nick
I would to specifythat my following notes are in the max respect for administrators, as I will follow any rules the administrators judge to do: this is only a chat among old friends.

I agree with you: people who work for produce sr clips must be copyrighted.
If you permit me, only few notes:
-  can be not evident to us if a clip published in hosting video sites as Youtube is copyrighted or saled by commercial sites. For examples, it cannot show any mark or text. We cannot search on all the web to verify this. Moreover any hosting site already monitor her material for copyright by himself: my opinion is that if a clip is on, for example, a Youtube, is regular until it is deleted by site self.
- if we would be perfectly lawfull respect, we cannot re-pubblicate ANY material, fotographic and\or video we found on every other site, because generally this is copyrighted. For every photo or clip we must read the copyrighted rules of every site that host them. Your administrator's work will become impossible.

Best Regards

Re: New rule: no link to copyrighted videos

Hi Ponyxwoman,

This rule applies to clear situations where it is apparent that the Youtube (or whatever) clip is something that people can buy from a website. Usually, there is a URL or logo "watermark" on the video but not always. We just all need to use common sense and judge case by case and do our best. If a member would hesitate, he can mention it in the post and an administrator can choose to delete the link if necessary.
