This question has probably been asked before, but how many members of this forum prefer to be (i) riders and (ii) how many prefer to be carriers? I have an idea that the latter predominate - but am I right?

I like very much being lifted and carried on shoulders but I also like keeping others on my arms...

There seem to be a lot of riders about,but very few ponies-in certain countries(especially Italy).Although I originally joined the Forum with the idea of getting a ride myself(which I since have done),I have been a pony on and off for so long that I have got used to it!
I just enjoy giving my rider(whoever he/she might be) a good ride-as long as they arent TOO heavy!

What a pity that we are far ali...just for curiosity:how much weight can you carry?

The answer to that,Robinmax,is-I dont really know! I weigh 63kg myself,and regularly carry someone weighing 70kg.I suppose that I could go up to 80kg,although Im not sure how long I could carry them.
In my younger days,I have squatted with up to 130kg on my shoulders,but that was 30 years ago,and the muscle soon turns to fat!
It is always nice to hear someone new to the Forum.There are lots of walking holidays in Italy which might attract me in the summer or autumn.Keep in touch!

My weight is around 70 kg,I think you should make it but It would have been nice to catch you when you were younger as you said,I wouldn't dislike a walk in the bushes on your shoulders...
If you come to italy for a walking holiday and it's not too far from Milan just tell me,maybe we could meet....

70 kg is a reasonnable weight to carry.You could always chat to me if you like,Robinmax,on alistaireden@hotmail.co.uk.We could talk about Italian bushes!!

It is the perfect match when a rider meets a carrier (pony). They both get what they want. What could be better than that?

I only enjoy carrying. I have never been a rider. I was always to heavy.I am a big guy.

femlifter52 sounds like the ideal carrier, albeit only females. It's the job of guys to give females thrills and make them happy. So femlifter52 is doing exactly the right thing.
