Static or stationary shoulder-riding may sound like a contradiction. But I wonder if I'm the only member here who enjoys sitting astride a pony-guy's shoulders while he is standing still? I find that the enjoyment comes from the sensation of just sitting there up astride my pony's shoulders with my legs dangling loose either side of the pony's head. Sat in this position means that my crotch is pressed up tightly against the back of the pony's neck. Sat in this position also means that I do not have to concentrate on keeping my balance while my pony is walking around carrying me. Instead, I can fully enjoy the sensation of being sat astride my pony's shoulders; and part of that enjoyment is knowing that he's standing there feeling my weight on his shoulders. In this position I can flex my legs and alternate from sitting on his shoulders in the 'loose-legs style' to the more dominant 'feet-tucked-in-behind-the-ribs' style. My advice to riders is to get your pony-guy to occasionally stand still so that you can enjoy and experience this erotic shoulder-riding pleasure.

I think that is a very good idea-especially when you are riding an older pony-Riding this way must extend a pony's useful life.

I love to be ridden in a static position, preferably while sitting on a high back dining chair, I find that with the support of the chair back that I can endure greater weights for longer periods of time.
In this position my rider can sit on my shoulders or if they wish ease forward and straddle my neck.

Standing still definitely means a longer time for the rider. When I was 14 my friend held me on his shoulders at a concert. I sat there for about 5 minutes, whereas when he walked around carrying me he could only do it for up to 2.

I totally agree. . . I like the feeling of lifting a guy on my shoulders, whislt standing still. You can enjoy the moment without concentracting on balance.
Its also much more erotic sitting on a guys shoulders with your groin pushed up against the other guys neck.... I Love it....

So true, midlandsguy. My pony has found out that if, during the ride, he stands still for a while to take a 'breather' and get his breath back, he can carry me for a longer time. But I thoroughly enjoy just sitting there astride his shoulders while he's standing still. While sat there like that stationary, I can enjoy the sensation of shoulder-riding/sitting without having to concentrate on keeping my balance when he's walking along under me. Another great thing to try is to sit astride a pony's shoulders when indoors. Get him to stand in front of a big mirror while you're sat there astride his shoulders and you can look at his face and watch his expression as you sit there on him. Obviously, you can also watch your own reflection which shows you sat astride your pony's shoulders and in control of him and exercising power over him by making him take you weight - minute after minute - until his knees begin to weaken. Riding a pony this way, with him stood still in front of a mirror, is best done while wearing just your pants.
