Yuck, they are a product of America's fame-whore tendencies. A desperate 51 yr old out of work male fame whore marries an equally desperate 16 yr old fame whore. They pull all kind of stunts to get paparazzi's attention.

Her name is courtney stodden, he is doug hutchison

Thanks for the information. I have seen that guy in one or two movies. Didn't know that an adult could marry an underaged girl in the USA. (though she doesn't look like she is that young).
Seems like they have been inspired by people like Heidi Montag and her boyfriend (husband?) about getting attention from paparazzi. Or trying to get more popular that way...?

Normally a man in at least most States in America may not legally marry a girl under age 18. The Federal government in America apparently leaves laws on marriage for the States to decide. Wikipedia states that this was the case in Nevada May 20, 2011 but was allowed under law because the girl's mother signed a paper to consent to this marriage. The Wikipedia article also states that she was born August 29, 1994 which would make her 17 as of this date, January 18, 2012.
