We went to a major outdoor rock concert this week. There were about 5000 people there. About 2/3rds through their set, between songs, the lead singer of the featured band spoke to the crowd. One of the things he said was that he saw one girl in the crowd sitting on someone's shoulders for "the whole" concert. (It was us! But it wasn't the whole concert, it was every other song.) "But I don't see her now." We were resting, taking a break, but of course we went up again for him to see. "There, I see her." He then commented we must be big fans, and I was a great guy for holding her up for so long. He said he couldn't see me, but saw her well, from the stage. "Don't let him get away," he told her.
It was amazing to be acknowledged by the band out of 5000 people in the audience!
