I would like you to consider that the phrase "to a ride" has no meaning to me. I think you are trying to communicate something such as, "to be given a ride" or "to receive a ride" because the alternative choice reads, "to give a ride."

I commend you for learning a second language just the same. I wish more citizens of my own country would do the same and be non-critical of the mistakes that learners of English make.
