Thank you again, my friend! I had already noticed and copied the photo from the Greek vase; the other one is new to me, and I like it very much. It is interesting to see one of the caciques holding the ear of his slave! And the presence of real life humans on the photos provides a valuable scale for the size of those statues.

Glad that you liked my pictures found. I know that there are traditional sculptures and images of people sits on the shoulders of many cultures around the world: in West Africa, Indonesia, India, Polynesia (Hawaii), Australia, Japan, America (North, Central and South), Canada, Europe and in Russia.
I'm now looking for photographs of ancient Greek figures of the Spartan warrior, sit on the shoulders of his fighting companion. Once upon a time I saw a picture of this sculpture in the old book. Unfortunately photos of artifacts found very difficult. But if I find something, be sure to let you know.
