If you know German you can and should read also the German comments which are reflecting all kind of ideas and attidudes. Some of them sound rather disillusioning for us, others are quite interesting again.
In general the conslusion could be that as for females there are all kind of views about being lifted. Some like it, some don't. Some wonder why boys like to do it so much, some are shy about it because they fear they are too heavy etc.
I agree with those who say that most boys will take only girls up who they like (in some way) and they feel a certain responsibility in that situation so the chance that they will let them fall off their shoulders is actually very little. As for the girls my suggestion would be: avoid to go on drunken guys shoulders! They not just don't have enough control over their physical abilities anymore but they also do not have the necessery sense of responisibilty.
