Ultimate shoulder rides

Shoulder riding in trick cycling requires the riders to be perfectly balanced with their hips forward and their legs wrapped snugly around their partners' torsos.  I've posted a bunch of samples from the most recent tournament.  The rider in the WOM photos looks as though she's really happy to be astride her partner: look t the expression on her face. The WOW riders show equally good form and poise, and it's easy to imagine that they feel good riding their partners.

In this link, the original German is translated into English.  Members who haven't already seen this remarkable site might enjoy having a look at it.  I've always liked the tradition of giving the winning teams celebratory shoulder rides, and there are a few video clips elsewhere that show the winners bouncing up and down astride their volunteer horses, but always with the same perfect, secure riding position.  Winning must be a really exciting experience for them!
