Pick the right person: someone who is not easily put off by carrying a guy, and will consider in normal under the right circumstances. pick someone who is helpful, casual and easygoing about things

create the right circumstance: My apartment has high ceilings and I have very few sturdy chairs; most of them swivel and it's not safe to stand on them. I noticed that the ceiling lamp in my kitchen could accommodate 3 bulbs, and there was only 1 in there. 

One evening over beers with my friend I asked him to help me fix the light. He offered to hold a nearby chair steady but I told him it was unsafe. I then led him to the sofa and standing on the arm i swung one leg over his shoulder and then the other. I rode him to the kitchen proceeded to place the bulb. Watch out for surprises! I was unable to unscrew the lamp shade with my fingers, so I made him carry me back to the couch so that i could dismount and look for a screw driver (I didn't want him to bend down to lower me since I didn't want him to injure his back for my selfish pleasure. It was safer for him to lower me onto something high off the ground - safety aside, it was a good method to prolong the ride, and also allowed me to mount him in the manner i enjoyed). Once the screw driver was found it was back on his shoulders for me. He stood still as I unscrewed the shade. I nudged him gently with my heel in the direction that i needed him to rotate so that i could reach one of the screws better, and once the screws were loosened off came the shade and I handed it to him. He then handed me one bulb, and as i screwed it in we realized the light switch was on...so i asked him to turn off the switch. He walked over, flicked the switch and we went on with screwing in the next one. Once all the bulbs were in and the shade was back in place I asked him to drop me off on the couch.

Don't overdo it: you don't want your friend getting suspicious, nor do you want to erode his good faith.

Oddly enough, I didn't. That surprised me quite a bit. Then again, I had taken precautions to ensure there wouldn't be any 'accidents' while I was sitting on him. Maybe I did too good a job.
