A useful tip for riders.

Like Ali2121 said, he and I had a terrific shoulder-riding session down in the New Forest (Hampshire, England) on Monday 13 February 2012. When I say 'he and I,' what I really mean is that I rode him and he gave me the rides. I don't know how many members of this great forum are actual riders (or carriers). Ali2121 has given a useful tip to those who prefer to carry. That advice is to pause every now and again while you are carrying someone on your shoulders and stop and take a few deep breaths. This will or should help you to carry your rider for longer.

As for my tips for those who prefer or like to shoulder-ride others, you need to be aware that as soon as you mount someone's shoulders you need to find your balance quickly. To do that, you need to be confident and assertive. You mustn't worry or think that you might fall off. So lots of positive thinking is required. One of the best parts of shoulder-riding is the moment when you actually mount your pony's shoulders. Because my pony Ali2121 is only 140 pounds (10 stones) and I'm 154 pounds (or 11 stones), he can't lift me by bending down behind me and lifting me up on the back of his neck. So, instead, I sit on one of the ranch-style gates which lead into the forest from the road and Ali backs up to me until his head is between my thighs. With him stood in that position, I ease myself forward and get astride his shoulders. It's a great feeling actually mounting him and feeling him taking my weight! Once I'm on his shoulders I know I've got him under my control and can get him to give me a shoulder-ride. It's just like a jockey mounting a horse. The jockey's in control. The horse has to do what the jockey wants because the jockey's sat astride the horse and the horse doesn't have any choice. So it's the same when a guy rides another guy. The pony-guy is under the control of the jockey-guy.  Only a guy knows how to shoulder-ride another guy.

When you start off on the shoulder-ride sat astride the pony-guy's shoulders you will find that you need some time to feel confident about maintaining your balance. In the New Forest where I shoulder-ride Ali2121 it is quite wet and slippery ground. There are lots of trees, of course, with low branches. He also carries me along the forest gravelled tracks - but if I fell off it would be a hard landing unlike amongst the trees where it's soft. I like to shoulder-ride Ali2121 in different styles. The first style is with my feet tucked hard in behind his ribs. But I also enjoy shoulder-riding him with my legs dangling loose each side of him. Riding him in this position means that the crotch of my jeans (I usually wear tight old faded denims - Levis or Wranglers) is pressed against the back of his neck. Quite often (although Ali2121 can't see me for obvious reasons) I ride along on his shoulders with my hands on my hips so I guess anyone seeing me shoulder-riding another guy that way would probably thinks I was an over-confident and cocky kind of guy. But the whole point of shoulder-riding a guy is to enjoy it. I mean by that the erotic sensations of being sat astride another guy's shoulders and feeling him labouring away like a beast of burden under you. You're the master; he's your slave!

At the moment, I'm training Ali2121 up and breaking him in slowly. I'm getting him to give me longer and longer rides. Okay, I might be quite a demanding jockey. I like a guy to do what I say. Should I wear spurs? Maybe! In actual fact, Ali2121 is a fantastic guy. I met him purely by chance on New Year's Day via this website that I found while looking for the yahoo members' group 'men riding on other mens' shoulders.' Since joining this group, 'Ultimate Shoulder Rides,' I have been really impressed by how good this group is and by the great members too who belong to it. Last Monday, Ali2121 and I had about 2 hours of shoulder-riding fun. Then we headed for a well-earned rest at the New Forest Inn (real ale!) plus a snack (with hot golden chips... mmmm!) Afterwards we resumed our horseplay. Like Ali2121 said, we saw lots of real ponies (4-legged ones) and deer too running through the trees.  Ali2121 said he'd be down in three weeks time again and I can't wait to get astride his shoulders again. Like I said, he's a fantastic guy and great fun to be with. Saying that, he's looking for a pony-guy himself to have a ride on. So if there are any pony-guys in the central part of England, then contact him for a fun-day out!

Re: A useful tip for riders.

STUDEKM,If you were ever over in the U.K.,I would love to be your pony-similarly if I were to visit your magnificent country.I see that you are making efforts to get your countrymen(and women!) together for riding experience.Good luck! As your country is so big,it is much more difficult for two of you to get together than here in England, where it is fairly easy.
You can always contact me at alistaireden@hotmail.co.uk.It doesnt do any harm to have a chat, even if we are thousands of miles apart! That is the advantage of the Forum-it brings together people from all over the world!

Re: A useful tip for riders.

I am a carrier who loves to be ridden by women  but after reading this I think  even I would love to ride on Ali. Hands on hips legs behind his back  gently urging him onwards with a little thrust of my hips , sounds delicious.

Re: A useful tip for riders.

ali2121 isn't an old pony; he's a middle-aged one and probably in his prime! 'Old' these days doesn't start until you're 70.

Sorry,Am6,I think that 85.7 kg probably IS a bit too heavy for this particular pony!

Ok Ali not a problem I was built to be ridden not to ride, but as you well know finding a female rider is almost impossible.

AM6, you would never be fired. Leaving with a partner now so its just difficult to talk as much. Plus I have been travelling abroad for work. I would still love to have a ride on your shoulders.

Ali, I am now 11 stone 5 pounds, so we could soon be in business.

Re: A useful tip for riders.

Can you rope in a few more female shoulder-riders, passion? There're a lot of ponies on this forum who'd love to be ridden around the paddocks by some girl jockeys. Kiss, kiss!
