Is bride on shoulders of groom a tradition in Russia? I have never seen this at a wedding in America except in pictures of Brooke Shields.

In Latvia or Lithunia, can´t remember which, there is a tradition, that the groom is supposed to carry the bride across a bridge. I have seen many picture with the cradle carry, but also some with a shoulder ride.
