Most of this describes my desire in pony play, but I think the same mindset is shared here with our shoulder riding!?
[my pony costume has front legs (with hooves),that are the same length/ height as my rear legs. A High riding position with stirrups]
Some people want to BE the animal, but this pony idea was just a vehicle for my desires.
I always liked the thought of being underneath females, under their legs or feet/ being leaned-on, sat on, especially to have most / or all of my body below them; with the pony position my head is close under their bottom and legs, and my arms have to carry the weight of their beautiful legs & feet
so i eventually used the idea of being a pony [pony = undersize for an adult rider] as a costume/ for reason to be ridden.
Although riding only once around the garden, it is still fun; the mounting, the sitting - time preparing to ride, feeling them get their balance, their feet into stirrups, their legs pressing in the stirrups, the heat of their body. Then once around the garden – turning to the pull on my bitt from their reigns, accepting their command while they sit in comfort while carrying their weight is demanding in its’ self.
On return, the Rider talks with spectators. The sitting in the saddle- time, is just as exciting as the moving. It is a Major Effort on the Arms BUT, i find this exciting as the rider thinks nothing of it, as She rests her legs in my stirrups which hang from my shoulders. Their weight alone is a constant unspoken and forceful demand/ expectation.
Shoulder riding has these qualities for me too.
I hope I have reminded you of some of your thoughts/ desires?, please share any inspiration!

"I always liked the thought of being underneath females" --- One could not describe better what I feel!
Thank you, Gregoryan. --- Are you by any chance related to the owner of this wonderful store for classical music in Toronto, "StudioGregorian?"

So do I ! I want to be a donkey when they ride, a chair when they sit, a carpet when they walk, and a slave the rest of the time
