Thanks Walter for the lovely picture set of the pool chicken fights and the three high towers with the same boys/girls. Again, frustratingly, the Flickr user has not allowed downloads of the full size pictures, which is a shame as they are all a massive 5MB in size judging by the camera type used!! This "no downloads" restriction that people use in Flickr is so annoying - all the very best pictures are always restricted!! I suppose it is fair enough that they do not want people getting copies of their originals though - I would be the same if I posted things to these sites. A few nice new picture sets are in Webshots as well now -look under chicken fights - at least they don't have restrictions over there. Overall, Flickr is way ahead in good pictures than Webshots at the moment - I never thought I would see the day. It is so sad, the decline of the once-brilliant Webshots. Still, I am sure people like Vaggelli will unearth something.
I love the picture sets where people take a large number of pictures of the action such as the chicken fight & 3 high tower set that Walter has posted. It is just such a fun activity and teenagers & kids of all ages and sizes just love chicken fights and riding on the shoulders of their friends. And obviously teens & kids also love mounting themselves 3 high or higher in shoulder ride towers as well - there are at least different 20 pictures of the 3 high tower with these kids so they have repeated the tower over & over for the lucky photographer a number of times - lovely shots!!

If you are talking about recent photos,as day to day,then flickr is much better in trying to find new photos,,,, if you are searching for chicken fights or shoulders...However,as you know,I search for other terms which the members do not have the time...over these past few months,Webshots has had a lot of pics that I have found,new and old...In a regular summer search,webshots has about 80 new pages per day or every other day...Ok,2 to 3 years ago,the same( summer) search would give us around 10,000 pages lol...I know 80 pages sounds terrible if compared to 10,000...However,in those 80 pages,we are almost guaranteed a couple of shoulder ride photos,as proof that I do find the pics..Same goes for other search terms as pool and beach and parties,and camp and so on...I still find more photos per day in webshots than I do in flickr...
As for the chicken fight photos Walter posted and 3 highs...Walter you did a lot of work for us to put every photo from this seiries,as you with all your photos on here..I would not however put up these photos,cause I feel that the photos conatained kids that were a little too young..I would feel uncomfortable..I guess it is up to the administrators and members to decide or give oppinions as what age limit should we stop putting up photos...
Walter,keep on posting anything you find,don't worry about the age limit untill someone does complain about them...Great work always by you...Just because I am uncomfortable about these type of photos,does not mean they are right or wrong for our group...

There is no actual defined "age limit" - but the group does not encourage pictures featuring very young kids - eg/ toddlers on their dad's shoulders that turn up everywhere which on the few occasions that are posted here, are removed. Same applies to pictures that feature very young children only with no teenagers or adults present. In the case of pool chicken fights or 3 highs, there will always be a mixture of participants in terms of age - and in the case of Walters pictures there are 2 older teenage boys and a boy around 11 or 12 with the girl around 10. Same as the 3 highs which show the kids father hoisting the teenage boy and the same girl (his younger sister) on his shoulders. They are nice pictures and whilst the group should not exclusively show these type of pictures, don't forget the vast majority of photos in here still feature older teens and adults.
Without taking anything away from Walters efforts, I have reduced the pictures from the set to a couple of each only - I hope this does not discourage you at all Walter as you do a great job in here, but we just need to be careful, especially when the pictures come from sites like Webshots & Flickr.
Sadly that excellent pool chicken fight set in Webshots featuring ladies around 20 or so riding on their boyfriends shoulders has been removed by the user already - I did manage to get them all saved though and I will post a few of them in here now.
There will always be a variety of pictures in a group of this nature and in the case of pictures in the pool, don't forget that chicken fights and 3-4 high towers will always by nature feature younger people as they are the ones who predominantly engage in this sort of summer fun. You rarely see fully grown adults chicken fighting in a swimming pool - it is great when you do - but it is a game for the youth of today and will always be.

I myself lament the decline of webshots because I find that it's easier to search for photos than with Flickr or other photo sites. Anybody agree or disagree?
